This page explains what Questline collects, why, and what it never collects. Questline is built to need as little of your personal data as possible.

What we collect automatically

When you use Questline, two lightweight, anonymous systems record that the app is being used:

• Anonymous usage events. Actions like opening the app, starting a chapter, or completing onboarding are logged with a random ID generated on your device (not your name, email, or account). This ID cannot be linked back to your identity from the data itself. We never log your goals, journal entries, or anything you write into the app.
• Site analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics). We use a cookieless analytics service to see how many people visit, which pages they land on, and which country they're visiting from (at a country level only — not a precise location). This does not use cookies or cross-site tracking and does not build a profile of you.

What we don't collect

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't track you across other websites or apps.
• We don't log the content of your goals, journal entries, or anything typed into the app alongside the anonymous usage events above.
• We don't use precise (GPS-level) location.

If you create an account

Signing in is optional and only needed to sync your progress across devices. If you sign in, we store your email address and your saved game state, tied to your account, so we can restore it for you. This is separate from the anonymous analytics above and is never mixed with it.
